Onboarding of National Bank of Bahrain from Saudi Arabia to AFAQ

On Wednesday, May 21, 2024, the National Bank of Bahrain was onboarded to “AFAQ” among the commercial banks operating in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, bringing the total number of banks from Saudi Arabia that have joined “AFAQ” to 14 banks.
It is worth mentioning that the Central Banks that have previously joined “AFAQ” are the Central Bank of the United Arab Emirates, the Central Bank of Bahrain, the Saudi Central Bank, and the Central Bank of Kuwait, bringing the total number of participating banks to 64 banks.
“AFAQ” provides a service for executing financial transactions in local currencies to the GCC countries in real-time, with low fees, a secure environment, and advanced technology.
